Text: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” – James 3:17.
Comment: Apostle James in this exhortation makes a clear distinction between the wisdom of God and that of the world. (James 3:14-16) While the worldly wisdom is concerned with individual interests and carnality, the wisdom of God from heaven is imbued with spiritual virtues and gifts. Those who know the truth and are endowed with the true wisdom from God will be filled with the fruits of righteousness. (Philippians 1:11) Such ones will be seen by all to be a “peculiar people, zealous of good works” to the glory of God by His grace. – Titus 2:11-14; Matthew 5:16.
