Theme: THE DANGER OF TALE BEARING AND RASH JUDGMENT

Text: “Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.” – James 4:11.

Comment: Many so-called Christians take pleasure in talking ill about their fellow members. Some form groups where they gather from time to time to drink, get drunk and talk negatively about the leaders of the Church. This is not good and those involved should desist from such. All leaders in the Church are by God’s allowance and they will give account of their stewardship, not to man, but to God Almighty. By speaking ill about our leaders, one incurs the wrath of God as was the case of Miriam, sister to Moses and Aaron. (Numbers 12:1-16) We should as Christians resist the urge to speak ill of our fellow Christians as well as the leadership of the Church at any level. Some members are not spiritually mature to handle certain information, and this may challenge their faith. No one will be paid remuneration for spreading false information, so why trouble yourself with something that can bring punishment to you?
