Theme: GIVING GOD THE KIND OF WORSHIP HE DESERVES

Text: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” – Revelations 4:11.

Comment: One of the key highlights of today’s text is the fact that God Almighty created all good and perfect things – visible and invisible through His Creative Agent – Jesus Christ. (Proverbs 8:22-30; John 1:1-3; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:15-18) The text further emphasizes the purpose of God’s creation in that all things, including man were created for God’s pleasure and to show forth His praise. “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise”. (Isaiah 43:7, 21; Psalm 102:18; Acts 17:26-28) Therefore, it is important for us to always appreciate the goodness of God by worshipping Him at all times as He deserves our sincere and unalloyed worship. – Revelation 14:6, 7.
