Theme: BUILDING NEW JERUSALEM
Text: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”. 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Comment: The ultimate reward God Almighty has promised his children is everlasting life or salvation in God’s Kingdom. The route to salvation, which first and foremost is by the grace of God, (Ephesians 2:8) is by contributing our best both spiritually and materially to the building of New Jerusalem and doing so sincerely until the end. – 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.
What will deprive us from receiving the reward of everlasting life is if we do not do it heartily and till the end. “And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23, 24) Exhorting us to continue in the building of New Jerusalem till the end, Apostle Paul writes in Hebrews 10:35,36,38 and 39, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise…Now the just shall live by faith; but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them that draw back unto perdition; but of them that that believe to the saving of the soul”.
