Theme: UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES
Text: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts”. – 2 Peter 3:3.
Comment: The Bible has not left us in ignorance of the fact that skeptics would still be in doubt and speak contemptuously about the truth of God’s word that we are now living in the end of the world. This is a sign of the times. It is an evidence of Christ’s second presence. Such doubting Thomases mock at religion and live self-indulgent lives. Be that as it may, whatever efforts the devil may make to drift men from the truth and righteousness of God, a great multitude of the sheep of God will survive the trouble and be granted salvation as to enter the third world – the world without end. (Revelation 7:9, 10, 13-15; Isaiah 45:17,18; Daniel 12:1-3) It behoves us to labour to be among those to be saved in God’s Kingdom when it is fully established by God’s grace. – Hebrews 4:8-11; 12:28.
