Theme: THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

Text: “Let them (confirmed unbelievers and evil-doers) be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish; that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.”-Psalm 83: 17, 18, parenthesis ours.

Comment: Those who deny God’s existence and who are paying no heed to the saving gospel of Jesus Christ, will soon be compelled by the force of circumstances in this last day to acknowledge the truth of His existence. Whether they believe it or not, those who oppose God and His people will come to naught. “Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna…” – Psalm 83:9-12.

Those who oppose God and His work will reap vanity and destruction. (Jeremiah 17:13) Saul who became known as Paul was fanatically opposing the work of Christ until he saw the vision “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” When he asked who was calling him, Jesus Christ replied “I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”  Humbled, he asked, trembling and astonished, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” (Acts 9:4-7) Every wise person will humble himself to do the will of God, not indulge in self-will in opposition to righteousness. – Isaiah 27:4, 5;Isaiah 60:12.
