Theme: Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

Text: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:15-17.

Comment: In this charge to Christians, St. Paul urges us to be careful and cautious knowing that dangers surround us and that the devil is always ready to slip the banana peel on us. Those who seek God and His Kingdom always act in a peculiar manner that shows them to be wise people in the sight of God.  The knowledge of the truth enables us to know, at least in outline, what had happened before, what is happening now and what the future holds. God told the Jews: “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect…” (Exodus 23:13) God’s children should therefore not be spiritually careless but should watch and pray always – Luke 21:36; Romans 13:11-14; 1 Peter 4:7.
