Theme: Fruits of the Spirit

Text: “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” – 1 Peter 5:5, 6.

Comment: Humility is a fruit of the Spirit every sincere worshipper of God should desire to cultivate in the service of God. It is “the quality of having a modest or low view of one’s importance”. The Holy Bible states: “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.” (Numbers 12:3) But Jesus Christ is humility personified as Apostle Paul said that he “made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant” (Philippians 2:7.) The Almighty Father hates pride. (Proverbs 6:16-19) Apostle James says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (James 4:10.) Our earnest prayer is for God Almighty to help us to be humble for our own blessings and salvation in the end through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
