Theme: COMMENTARY ON THE BOOK OF JUDE

Text:   “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.”-  Jude 8.

Comment:  These filthy dreamers are those who lack real love for the work of God.  They have their heads in the clouds, are bent on doing their own will, and are always busy planning all sorts of schemes purely for their personal benefit. It does not matter to them whether their actions hurt the interest of God’s work or not. Consequently, they are defiled by the fact that they walk contrary to the will of God. The irony is that they expect such plans to come to pass whether they are in harmony with the will of God or not! They are really dreamers ! Apostle Jude exhorts us to learn from the example of Michael the archangel, (that is Jesus Christ) who, when contending with the devil about the body of Moses, did not on his own “bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

True worshippers are enjoined in the Scriptures to fear God and the institutions He had set up on earth. “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. (God Almighty and Jesus Christ) For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” (Romans 13:1) Where anyone is confused he should seek advice from the elders.  If one still does not understand he should keep calm and wait prayerfully for God things reveal it to Him. – Philippians 3:15.
