Theme: INTEGRITY
Text: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”- 1 John 1: 9, 10.
Comment: One way of overcoming besetting sins is to confess our sins to God. When we acknowledge our sins and ask for forgiveness, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We are all sinners (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23) and in need of God’s grace and forgiveness. It is therefore important to be sincere and honest with ourselves and with God about our shortcomings so that we can receive His forgiveness and experience true transformation in our lives. “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. – Proverbs 28:13, 14.
