Theme: THE END OF THE WICKED

Text: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” – 2 Corinthians 5:10.

Comment: This clear statement from Apostle Paul affirms the fact that everyone shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12) Even if one is punished by civil authorities or the government of the day for his wicked acts, and dies without repenting of his evil deeds, he will still be punished by God during the general resurrection. See Isaiah 65:20.

Solomon warned that through people are free to decide on their course of action, they should know that they will give account for their actions. (Ecclesiastes 11:9). In the days of Ezekiel, the prophet, God revealed to him that the leaders of the people were committing abomination in the dead of the night because they felt nobody could see them at that time. “Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? For they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.” – Ezekiel 8:12.

Scripture says: “Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?” – Isaiah 29:15. The fact that God Almighty sees everywhere and everything should impel to do righteousness always, for, “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”- Proverbs 15:3.
