Theme: OVERCOMING BEHAVIOURAL DISORDER
Text: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2.
Comment: Our thinking faculty, the mind, plays a major role in our behaviour. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) In order therefore to change one’s behaviour, one has to renew or change the way one thinks. Jesus Christ declared: “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” (Luke 6:45) Knowing the importance of making conscious efforts to renew our mind or heart, the Bible advises us to “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”. – Proverbs 4:23.
