Theme: THE DANGER OF INTERFAITH

Text: “Thus saith the LORD, learn not the way of the heathen, … For the customs of the people are vain…” – Jeremiah 10:2,3.

Comment: Customs and traditions abound all over the nations of the world. Some of these customs and traditions are rooted in paganism while some are spiritually inclined, being drawn from the scriptures. We must be able to have a good knowledge of a particular custom or tradition and the motive of doing it. We must not do it because majority are doing it. (Exodus 23:2; Luke 16:15).  Jesus Christ addressed the Pharisees to do away with traditions that are against godly principles. (Matthew 15:3). Each of us should search our consciences and make right decisions before observing to keep some of these customs and traditions or else we may be guilty of interfaith. – 2 Corinthians 1:12; Acts 23:1; 24:16.
