Theme: THE GOLDEN RULE

Text: “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4, 5.

Comment: The principles of the Golden Rule speaks of actively doing good to others. This shows that it applies to rational beings, who share normal human values and not perverts or children of the devil, who love evil and expect others to do good to them. In this age when the devil is hyperactive in filling men’s mind with evil schemes and turning them against one another, it is important for people of goodwill to flee from his devices by making the Golden Rule an essential part of their character. (Psalm 58:3; Matthew 13:39; 2 Corinthians 2:11) The key text for today highlights some of the essential qualities imbued in the principle of the Golden Rule which have rational human values for peace and harmony among people. One who has love is tolerant and able to co-exist peacefully with others. Such ones are loving and caring. They live above board as shining examples to others.  They don’t keep grudges or envy others.  They are not proud but humble in spirit. Such ones are loveable, unassuming, calm and temperate in all things.
