Text: “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” – Galatians 6:10
Comment: Opportunities avail themselves to those who strive to be of help to their less privileged neighbours – a neigbour being any one who has need of our help. In this regard, there are organised non-governmental organisations (NGOs), which are given to charitable deeds, that attend to the plight of many the world over, who do not have access to education, adequate health care, and other essentials of life. In line with the admonition of Apostle Paul, we should be disposed to doing good to all men. We should endeavour to be making sacrifices in order to do good to Ministers of the Gospel and to all who are full devotees in the Lord’s Vineyard who constitute the “household of faith”. Our Lord Jesus Christ stated, “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. – Matthew 10:40-42.
