Theme: Fortitude
Text: “And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my Lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.” – Daniel 10:19.
Comment: It is important to remind ourselves that fortitude is the ability to remain steady in our belief and worship of God even when difficulties come our way. In the Bible verse under consideration, the words of comfort from God to Daniel are very instructive. Those who have experienced difficult and trying situations will attest to the peace of mind that follows once we are able to show faith. The word of God will always strengthen us and with faith we can overcome fear. So, when fear is trying to dominate our spirit, we should cast it aside and trust in God. – Psalm 37:3-5.
