Theme: WE SHALL ALL REAP WHAT WE SOW

Text: “Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.” – Job 4:8.

Comment: The activities and disposition of those given to wickedness mentioned by the Psalmist in one of his psalms includes maltreating the poor, encouraging the covetous, having no regard for God, engaging in cursing, deceit, fraud, mischief and murder, etc. (Psalm 10:2-11) The Bible says that those whose stock-in-trade is wickedness shall reap vanity. (Hosea 10:13; Proverbs 22:8) Let us therefore refrain from all acts of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:22) The Psalmist warned, “God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors. Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.” – Psalm 7:11,13-16.
