Theme: WE SHALL ALL REAP WHAT WE SOW

Text: “Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.” – Psalm 119:175.

Comment: In answer to a question put forth to him by a lawyer, concerning which is “the great commandment in the law?” our Lord Jesus Christ told him: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matthew 22:35-37) In Psalm 103:1, the Psalmist had stated: “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” The expression “and all that is within me, bless his holy name” is an acknowledgement of the fact that our very existence, possessions, talents, etc., are actually His, in the real sense. It is while we are alive that we can praise God as Hezekiah resolved upon recovery from ill health. (Isaiah 38:19; Ecclesiastes 9:10; Psalm 6:5) Let us always ensure that in all our undertakings, the words of our mouth, the meditations of our heart, and everything pertaining to us should be such that would give praise to our Maker, by God’s grace. – Psalm 19:14.
