Text: “Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can shew forth all his praise? Blessed are they that keep judgement, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation.” – Psalm 106:2-4.
Comment: The primary focus of God’s people should be to strive to please their Maker at all times by the practice of righteousness. The prophet David had to point out the importance of doing what is right at all times because some do good sometimes and deliberately do evil some other times, believing that God will forgive them by virtue of the other good things they had done. No one should deliberately do what is bad and expect God to overlook such. (James 2:10, 11; James 4:17) We should therefore be very careful and pray God to help us to do righteousness always. It was David the prophet who prayed: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10.
