Theme: INTEGRITY

Text: “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you”. – 2 Thessalonians 3: 6, 7.

Comment:  In the Church of Christ, ‘order-and-decency’ is the mark of integrity of believers. (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40) Saint Paul admonished: “That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.” (1 Thessalonians 2:12) There is need for Christians to be decent and orderly in all their endeavours, within or outside the Church; keep themselves unpolluted or uncompromised (1 Thessalonians 4:11, 12); imbibe and maintain specific traditions of the Church of Christ by the grace of God. (2 Thessalonians 2:15) Our relationship with those who are disciplined or chastised should be with the understanding of admonition so as to help them in their hour of temptation. (Galatians 6:1) However, if such ones are adamant, stiff-necked or obstinate, we should withdraw from them as the leading text warns. – Romans 16:17, 18; 1 Corinthians 5:11-13.
