Comment: Job describes the fear of God as wisdom and abstaining from evil as understanding.  The wisdom of this world is based on human understanding and logic. It has great limitations because it is influenced by sinful nature which could make one go astray.  Godly wisdom is the ability to apply or utilise the Bible principles to our lives. Worshippers of God should not be entangled with worldly wisdom, though good but it is not the ultimate. The wisdom of God is the ultimate. King Solomon said:” Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7).  Stanzas 1 and 4 of the Theocratic Songs of Praise (the hymnal) of the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) -The Church of The Living God – reads “Where could Wisdom now be found? And place of Understanding? Seeing ’tis hidden from men, Who seek not the Lord our King. Only God knoweth the Way, Since ’tis found only in Him.  Not the Wisdom of this world, Nor it’s understanding too, For it beareth war and strife. Since ’tis foolishness to God, Enter not its gates thereof, But seek the Wisdom of GOD.”
