Theme: WHY SOME PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED BY GOD

Text: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” – 1 Timothy 2:5.

Comment: Our solemn requests should be made to God through Jesus Christ.  Today we find in various churches that they are taught as of doctrine to pray through Mary, Apostle Peter, Paul or and any other apostle known or unknown. Some even make up images of these people, mount them in church compounds, in the cathedral and in their homes. They offer supplications through these images contrary to God’s commandments in Exodus 20:3-5 which says: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them…” Christ declared: “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” – John 16:23
