Theme: ANGER: ITS CAUSES, EFFECTS, CONSEQUENCES AND MANAGEMENT

Text: “A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.” – Proverbs 15:18.

Comment: When children are not cultured ‘in the nurture and admonition of the LORD’ (Ephesians 6:4), they feel confused, guilty, hateful, resentful and angry, which translate to vindictiveness against society (Proverbs 29:22; 26:21, 22). Temperance is a quality that helps douse tension, resolve disputes, brings forth latent quality of a man’s heart and makes him master of his emotions. An emotionally intelligent person controls his thoughts, exercises self-restraint and chooses carefully a peace-seeking line of action; he is not easily provoked, does not react to situations on the spur of the moment, to avoid collateral damage, retribution and prick of the conscience. He is honored and respected in the society. Apostle Paul stated, “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things”. – 1 Corinthians 9:25.
