Theme: Be Careful for Nothing

Text: “Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” – Job 5:6, 7.

Comment: Man, having been born into trouble, as a result of inherited sin, is surrounded by difficulties which make him to be restless or disturbed. (Genesis 3:16-19; Psalm 51:5) Knowledge of the spiritual causes of the troubles in the world should enable us to deal with the various problems that confront us daily.  While not disregarding the efforts of governments and other institutions all over the world in tackling these problems, the fact remains that God Almighty is the Strength and Hope of His people. (Isaiah 45:22; Psalm 46:1)) We should not allow the problems of this present age to overwhelm us even though we are born into it as stated in the text for today. Rather, with faith in God Almighty, we will overcome by God’s grace. – 1 John 5:4.
