Text: “I will go into the house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows. Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.” – Psalm 66:13, 14.
Comment: King David, a man of integrity, was expressing a righteous inclination of his sincerest indebtedness to his Maker for the multiple benefits from above. Rhetorically, he asked: “What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?” He answered saying “I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people” (Psalm 116:12-14) True worshippers of God in this age are expected to exemplify the value of genuine discipleship in their devotion to God. – Luke 17:7-10; Titus 2:11-14; Romans 12:1-3.
