Theme: BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL

Text: “The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.” – Psalm 103:6.

Comment: Advancing further on evidence of God’s care on His sheep, for which they would continue to bless His name, the Psalmist made reference to God’s intervention during the hour of temptation. The condition for which the people of God will always be recipients of this help, is good heart condition, as stated by the Prophet David in his famous and evergreen charge to Solomon his son, to wit: “…know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind… if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.” (1 Chronicles 28:9; 2 Chronicles 16:9; Matthew 5:8) In the midst of the raging storms of life, true converts are exhorted never to allow frustration, despondency or despair to set in, but to continue to look to the Almighty Father, unto Whom belongeth safety and salvavtion. – Isaiah 45:22; Psalm 145:18-21.
