Theme: Casting All Our Burden On The Lord

Text: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else”. – Isaiah 45:22.

Comment: God Almighty is the Strength of His people. (1 Samuel 15:29; Joel 3:16) He will come to our aid and thus enable us overcome our worries and anxieties over our many and varied problems. Isaiah the Prophet assure us thus: “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you”. – Isaiah 35:4.

King David himself said that when his heart is overtaken by anxiety, worry and apprehension, God will strengthen such one when he declared: “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works”. (Psalm 73:25, 26, 28) In this regard, King David expressed his resolve to look to God because true help comes from God. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved …Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. …The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night….” – Psalm 121:1-8.
