Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD

Text: “For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” – Romans 2:13

Comment: It is highly unfortunate that so many people, both in high and low places across the world, make a show of religion and devotion, yet their day-to-day conduct comes far short of what is required of the true worshippers of God. For instance, countries rated in a World Values Survey as being among the most religious nations on earth, turned out to be among the most corrupt. While our Lord Jesus Christ was preaching, “a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.”  Replying, Jesus Christ said, “Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it”. (Luke 11:27, 28) What Jesus Christ said in effect was that it is those who hear and  keep the words of God that he was preaching that would receive more blessings from Him.
