Theme: WE SHALL ALL REAP WHAT WE SOW

Text: “By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.” – Hebrews 11:31.

Comment: This is a striking instance to show that the good one does will be remembered, acknowledged, appreciated and reciprocated in due time. The woman Rahab sowed good by hiding the two spies sent by Joshua to spy out the city of Jericho which made them to escape being killed by the men of Jericho. (Joshua 2:1-11) The spies told her what she should do to ensure that she and her household were safe or spared when the city of Jericho would be destroyed by Joshua and the Israelite army. (Joshua 2:12-25) Recalling this story, Saint Paul declared: “By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.” (Hebrews 11:31) We should continue to do good as it shall never go unrewarded by God’s grace. – Psalm 125:4.
