Comment: Homosexuality is sexual orientation toward people of the same sex.  Female homosexuals are frequently called lesbians. What God approves is marriage between a man and a woman, not between men and men or women and women. (Leviticus 18:22) The destruction suffered by the people of Sodom and Gomorrah should have served as a deterrent to succeeding generations. (Genesis 19:12-29) But today the sin of homosexuality is rife, especially in the technologically advanced countries of the world. Some people even say they are bisexual, that is that they relate with both men and women !  From the 1990s and 2000s a number of countries started to make laws to legalize same-sex marriages, giving same-sex couples (generally called civil unions or registered partnerships) the same rights that heterosexual couples have in areas such as inheritance, taxes, divorce, and pension benefits.  The fact that homosexuality is being glorified and seen as permissible behavior today as was the case at the time of Sodom and Gomorrah is one of the signs of the last days. (Luke 17:26-30) However, the fact that God turned “the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow,” should be an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly. Christians should run away from such sinful practices so as to be delivered as was the case with Lot. – 2 Peter 2:6-8.
