Comment: It is incontestable that the scope of wickedness has assumed a wider dimension. There are those who offend God intentionally. In the language of the scriptures they “drink iniquity like water.” (Job 15:16) They are without prick of conscience, governed by selfish ambition. There are dangers posed by man’s inhumanity to man as characterised by armed robbery attacks on the highways and even at homes, and gruesome assassinations. The world is sinking fast into the abyss of destruction because of wicked acts; such as mischief-making, adultery, fornication, stealing, bribery and corruption, oppression, injustice and so on and so forth. (2 Timothy 3:13) On the other hand, through the gospel preached by the Saints of God, God will cleanse and purify His children by His grace. – John 15:3; 17:17; Hebrews 10:22; Ephesians 5:26.
