Comment: Submission to God involves surrendering our will, desires, and plans to God’s authority and guidance. By submitting to God, we acknowledge His sovereignty and wisdom in our lives, and we align ourselves with His purposes and plans for us. In John 4:34, Jesus Christ declared: “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”. When we submit to God, it greatly increases our capacity to resist the devil and to draw nearer to God. St. Paul admonished us to emulate Jesus Christ who submitted to God: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: …But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…” – Philippians 2:5-11.
