Text: “This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” – Titus 3:8.
Comment: God has graciously called us to do His will so as to get blessings and salvation by His grace. However, those who obeyed God’s call are to learn to do well and continue therein all the days of their lives. Isaiah the prophet wrote: “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; …If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land…” (Isaiah 1:16-20) Apostle Paul stated: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, …and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” – Titus 2:11-14.
