PRESS RELEASE
GKS PRESIDENT ENHOINS CHRISTIANS NOT TO JOIN THE BANDWAGON OF SIN AND CORRUPTION
The President of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) – The Church of the Living God – Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun has charged all people of goodwill not to jump into the bandwagon of sin and impunity, by way of following popular trends and fashion, in order to attain societal peace and salvation.
He made the statement during the Last and Great Day – Holy Convocation of the Christian Feast of Tabernacles celebration by the Church at its headquarters in Salem City, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
In an address entitled: Why Judgment and Purgation Are Much More Necessary In The Service Of God, Brother Adedokun, said that: “The judgment of God bespeaks His love for His people in that it is meant to turn people to righteousness.” He warned that dire consequences await those who refuse to fear God and give glory to Him adding that the true Church of God is duty-bound to warn against perversion and licentious conduct. Brother Adedokun also charged the government of the world to fear God and do things that will promote peace and general wellbeing of the people. Citing several portions of the Holy Bible, Brother Adedokun warned the people to depart from evil, fear God and keep His commandments so as to be blessed and saved in the end by His grace.
The eight-day Festival, which ended peacefully and successfully last Sunday, featured 16 soul-inspiring and spiritually rejuvenating sermons. Other activities that featured in the festival were Christian Women Assembly, Children’s Assembly, Street Processions, Blessing of Little Children, Musical Performances by various choral groups and choirs as well as Special Thanksgiving and Prayers to God.
Yours faithfully,
