Text: “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” – Psalms 143:10.
Comment: The Almighty God wants His worshippers to do His will and not their own will. This means that we should serve Him the way He wants and not the way we want. Like the Psalmist, we should always pray to God to lead and direct us to do His will. “Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” (Psalm 25:4, 5) In order for us to successfully do the will of God, we must follow His instructions. “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.” – Psalm 32:8, 9.
