Theme: LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO?

Text: “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”. – John 10:8, 9.

Comment: Amplifying on the statement of Christ in today’s devotional, Peter the apostle justifiably referred to his Master as the “Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:25) Thus, there can never be an alternative to our Lord and Saviour, he being the only medium to the Father, an embodiment of God’s truth, and the One through whom life eternal would be attained. (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5, 6)) In line with Psalm 110:3, this is the time to show unwavering zeal, uncompromising faith, and robust commitment, as we strive to make our calling and election sure. (2 Peter 1:10, 11) We should not be carried away by the antics of “thieves and robbers” – false religionists – but we are expected to remain focused and steadfast in the service of God. – Hebrews 3:14.
