Text: “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:25, 33.
Comment: The Master, Christ Jesus, was teaching his disciples the great lesson of contentment, and that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things which he possesses. (Luke 12:15; Hebrews 13:5,6); that the All-Wise God is able and willing to care for His own if we can only meet Him with faith and implicit trust. (Matthew 6:25-34) “And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” (2 Corinthians 3:4, 5) Let us not allow the weight of life’s burdens to make us lose our sense of focus and trust in God through Christ Jesus as God has promised to bless us when we make Him and His righteousness our priority. – Luke 21:34-36.
