Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD

Text: “Therefore thou shall keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.” – Deuteronomy 8:6.

Comment: Moses the prophet charged the Israelites to always draw near to God Almighty particularly when they got to the promised land.  He charged them not to be carried away by the bountiful benefits of the good land and turn away from God to serve other gods. Rather, they should remember how God Almighty fed them with manna and protected them from the harsh weather conditions so much that their clothes did not wax old and their legs did not swell during their forty years in the wilderness. He then warned them to serve God Almighty wholeheartedly because anyone who refuses to worship Him, will perish. (Deuteronomy 8:3, 4, 7, 8, 17-20) True children of Abraham by faith must heed to the instruction of God through Moses to always keep the commandments of the LORD, walk in His ways and fear Him so as to continue to enjoy His blessings and protection by His grace. – Proverbs 3:23; 10:22.
