Theme: THE BLESSING IN DOING WHAT WE HEAR
Text: “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” – 2 Corinthians 4:8, 9.
Comment: True worshippers of God are bound to encounter trials, tribulation and temptation in life at the instance of Satan the Devil. (2 Timothy 3:12; 2 Corinthians 2:11). “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22) While going through life challenges, one major factor that helps a true worshipper to withstand and overcome such difficulties is the doing of the word of God. This helps the individual to be well-established in the truth (2 Peter 1:12) as well as have a sound spiritual footing to withstand and overcome the persecutions and afflictions by God’s grace. – Matthew 7:24-27; 1 Thessalonians 3:3-5.
