Theme: THE WILL OF GOD
Text: “Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely, this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” – Deuteronomy 4:6.
Comment: Through the operation of His Holy Spirit in the prophets of old, Jesus Christ His beloved Son and His apostles, the Almighty Father caused His will, purpose or desire, to be clearly expressed in the Book of books – the Holy Bible – for the benefit of mankind. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:19-21) Therein contains divine laws and judgements through which we are able to understand the things God allows His worshippers to do and those He forbids. Also, there are in the Bible records of significant events, which serve as types for future things and offer great lessons to mankind as to what the will of God is in certain situations. (Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11) Thus, the keeping of the laws of God as Moses charged the Israelites, in the main text, is paramount in the service of God. – John 9:31.
