Theme: RECEIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AS A LITTLE CHILD

Text: “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.” – Isaiah 28:9.

Comment: For a Christian, acquiring spiritual knowledge and other virtues, is a work in progress. It begins early in one’s life, especially when one has access to the truth. This was what earned Timothy the commendation of St. Paul, to wit: “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” – 2 Timothy 1:5. Those seeking God’s approval for Salvation should with humility, show readiness to hear God’s word, and regularly exercise themselves in it so as to gain spiritual knowledge by God’s grace. (1 Timothy 4:8; James 1:19) Faith, according to the Bible, is gained by hearing God’s word. (Romans 10:17) God helping, as time progresses, one is able to gain more requisite qualities needed to run the race of eternal life. – 2 Peter 1:5-11.
