Text: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22, 23.
Comment: True Christianity requires the exemplification of the ideals of a life that is spiritually minded (Romans 8:5, 6) and demonstrates the fruits of the Spirit as highlighted in today’s devotional. St. Paul admonishes: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” (Galatians 5:16-18) As Christians, we should seek God Almighty by running away from sin. (Amos 5:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:22) It enables one to live right with God. “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly, in this present world.” – Titus 2:12.
