Theme: OBJECT LELSSONS FROM THE LIFE AND EPISTLES OF ST. PAUL

Text: “Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.” – 1Corinthians 7:24.

Comment: To Ananias, a disciple at Damascus, it was revealed by Jesus Christ that Saul, as he was then known, would, among other things be his chosen vessel, “to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: for I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” (Acts 9:15,16)On an occasion when he was forewarned by Agabus, concerning the persecution awaiting him at Jerusalem, he responded “…for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 21:10-14) Those who endure afflictions in the service of God and remain steadfast till the end, would be blessed and saved by God.  “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” – James 1:12.
