Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD
Text: “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” – John 9:31.
Comment: This was the statement made by the man born blind when Jesus Christ healed him. Christ did this miraculous work on the Sabbath day. Instead of the Pharisees to thank God on his behalf, they criticised what Christ had done and called him a sinner and the blind man who was healed, replied to them with the words in the text for today. From his response, we learn that it is important to give ourselves to the practice of God’s righteousness so that when we pray to Him, He will hear and deliver us. The Psalmist declared: “The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” – Psalm 34:17. See also Psalm 33:18, 19; Isaiah 59:1, 2.
