Theme: GIVING GOD THE KIND OF WORSHIP HE DESERVES
Text: “Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” – Revelations 15:4.
Comment: The Most High God is holy and just in all His ways. (Leviticus 11:44; Deuteronomy 32:4) One of the qualities that will enable us offer unto the Almighty Father the kind of worship He deserves is to have the fear of God. As it is written: “…Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13; Proverbs 8:13; 16:6) Also, we are duty-bound to aspire towards holiness in our efforts to worship God so as to be blessed. The Bible says: “As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14-16) Let us endeavour to fear God and continue to aspire towards holiness as the judgment of God, which is now going on (John 12:48), will certainly favour those who fear God and offer holy service unto Him.
