Theme: The Essence of Self Comportment
Text: “Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertain angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” – Hebrew 13:1-3.
Comment: Followers of Christ should show true love, not only to fellow Christians but to the entire human race. Jesus Christ emphasized this in the parable of the Good Samaritan. (Luke 10:25-37) Mankind is expected to exercise towards each other “comfort of love”, “fellowship of the Spirit”, and “bowels of mercy” (i.e. empathy). Love should be demonstrated without pretense or hypocrisy and as the Scriptures enjoin, we should “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” – Romans 12:9.10.
