Theme: LORD, WHO SHALL ABIDE IN THY TABERNACLES?

Text: “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ”. – 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

Comment: Notwithstanding what the devil wants us to believe, God’s thoughts for us have always been of peace, never of evil, even to give us a full reward in the end, by His grace. He who has brought us into His marvelous light, is faithful to accomplish His promise of life eternal. (1 Corinthians 1:9; 1Thessalonians 5:24; 1 John 2:25) If we are humble enough to subject ourselves to His laws, which John the apostle says they are not difficult to keep (1 John 5:3), in addition to blessings of protection and other benefits, we shall be heirs of salvation in the “land of life without end”, hence the Prophet Isaiah admonishes: “He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions… He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.” (Isaiah 33:15-17) In direct reference to the ultimate reward awaiting the righteous, Elihu stated, “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” – Job 36:11; Isaiah 3:10.
