Theme: PRAY AND WAIT ON THE LORD

Text: “Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.” – Proverbs 20:22.

Comment: A huge challenge on our faith in God is our desire to revenge evils done against us. This is not the will of God for us. Apostle Peter admonished thus: “Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9) God sees everything even before they happen. He is the best Judge and will pay everyone according to their works. St Paul gave us this instruction in Hebrews 10:30, 31 “For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”. If any of us are in such situation, we should go on our bended knees, pray and remain calm, leaving everything in the hands of God.
