Theme: The Essence of Self Comportment
Text: “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” – Jude 6.
Comment: The Almighty God had, in His creative works, enacted divine order to guide His creatures, which were fashioned to ensure order and decency. He made man of flesh and blood with the mandate to procreate and to replenish the earth; but angels He made spirits. (Gemesis 1:27,28; Hebrews 1:7) Angels were not made to have anything to do with human pleasures because they are spirits. But some angels succumbed to fleshly desires as seen in the text for today. (Genesis 6: 1-7) When the flood came, the debased angels dematerialized to return to heaven but were cast into chains of darkness, a condition of total ignorance of the purpose of God. – 2 Peter 2: 4.
