Comment: Every true convert to Christianity experiences a spiritual rebirth which enables the person to do away with old ideas, attitudes and behaviours that are contrary to the will of God.  Therefore, someone who calls himself a Christian and still indulges in the deeds of the “old man” (sinful practices), cannot call himself a new creature and cannot attract the blessings of God.  (Titus 2:11-14) It is evident, that having been called into the light, whatever conduct or behaviour one has that is not in consonance with the laws of God, should be put away.  This will enable such ones to be fit to continue in the marvelous light of Christ. – Isaiah 35:8.
